Homework and Daily Planner

Many schools do not have a standardized way of assigning, grading, or tracking homework assignments. Some teachers write assignments on the board or hand out a sheet of paper with an assignment on it. Others provide homework through an online portal. Some teachers respond and update assignments that have been turned in the day they recieve them and update these on the student portal, while others don't update the portal at all or update in an untimely manner. This leads to confusion on the student and parent's part as to what has been turned in and what still needs to be turned in. Having the student write the assignment down with the due date next to it where they can later check it off once completed and cross it out once turned in allows them to track each assignment the same way, regardless of how the teacher assigns and acknowledges homework.
